We drove to Liberty State Park in Jersey City where we viewed the Empty Sky Memorial and the Central Railroad Terminal, then took Statue Cruises to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty National Monument. Next, we drove to Paterson to see the waterfalls at Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. We also visited Morristown National Historical Park where we saw Washington's Headquarters, Fort Nonsense, and Jockey Hollow along the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail. Finally, we drove through Princeton and Trenton where we saw the New Jersey State House and took a scenic drive along the Delaware River.
We drove across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to Camden where we saw the Camden Waterfront and the Battleship New Jersey before driving south through the state towards the Delaware border. While we did not have an opportunity to visit many attractions, we did learn that it is against the law to pump your own gas in New Jersey.
