We spent a week exploring all three of the U.S. Virgin Islands. On St. Croix, we visited Frederiksted and Christiansted. We hiked along the endless beaches of Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge, toured the Cruzan Rum Distillery, swam with horses along the north shore, snorkeled the underwater trail at Buck Island Reef National Monument, toured Fort Christiansvaern at the Christiansted National Historic Site, visited the Captain Morgan rum facility, and saw the Christopher Columbus landing site at Salt River Bay National Historical Park.
On St. Thomas, we visited Charlotte Amalie where we saw Fort Christian and the Virgin Islands Legislature Building, did some shopping in the downtown stores, admired the over 200-year-old Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church, and enjoyed a few nice meals in Frenchtown.
Finally, we took the ferry to St. John where we spent a day hiking in Virgin Islands National Park. We hiked to both Solomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach and spent some time in the town of Cruz Bay.
